World Vision Classic Tourney

Jodi, me and mom and dad set off Friday morning for Reno, NV.
The boys had three games in the tournament. The team is still adjusting and learning; they are definitely getting better. Jacks played hard, his shots didn't fall as easily as normal but he made up for it with rebounding and on the defensive end.
Us four had fun in Reno, especially wearing these rediculous hats that my dad won for us. It definitely cheered Jacks up after a rough loss.
The team bounced back and played Nevada super close. We led most of the game, until we started getting into foul trouble.
With just a couple minutes in the game, jacks collided with another player and his shoulder came out for a few seconds. Luckily it popped back in quickly, but he is super sore and we're hoping he'll be ready for the first home game before Thanksgiving!

Trip to Washington/Idaho

SUU at Gonzaga!

The team took on the Zags Friday night and a few of us got to watch Jacks score a  career-high 29 points.

Unfortunately the Bulldogs beat us by quite a few, but we enjoyed the trip and had a lot of fun, even if Jacks didn't haha. Jackson's grandparents drove up to Spokane, Jodi and I flew.

Jodi, Jacks & Jade
So proud of him!

We also got to go to the UCLA vs Washington State game in Pullman. It was absolutely FREEZING!! We bailed at halftime because it was a blowout and we were frozen.

We stayed in Moscow, Idaho with Jackson's aunt Keli, uncle Brandon and cute cousins Madi and Mason.
It was such a fun trip, besides the beating by Gonzaga and our 7 hour layover in Spokane. Jodi and I thought we would never get home.

Can't wait for Reno this weekend!!!

Emergency Preparedness!!

This is a really quite random post but we had a lesson in relief society last Sunday and it was all about food storage & emergency preparedness...

I went home from church with this guilty guilty mind because if Jacks and I had to evacuate from our little 2 bedroom apartment, we would completely fail at being prepared. I was totally panicked and decided I better do something about this or I would not sleep (I am definitely one of those who stresses ridiculously).

We were given the following blog website in our lesson and if if we were to follow one blog, IT SHOULD BE THIS ONE.

http://preparedldsfamily.blogspot.com/

I put our binder together with the website above, http://www.yourownhomestore.com, and I also used Pinterest :)

We don't have much yet & as far as food storage goes, we are working on it each trip to the grocery store. I can only imagine how grateful we would be for prioritizing items into a list that we would need to grab if we were told we only had 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes to evacuate. It would be the biggest BLESSING in a time of crisis.

Jacks can't even wait (NOT) for me to go over the list with him and talk about where each item is...I can picture it now "What is the black binder? Where is the black binder?"
-Be sure to go through everything with your husband and assign each item. :)
